Two students at Herrin High School and one student at Herrin Elementary School tested positive for COVID 19 today. All close contacts have been identified, notified and contacted.

Next Week is Spirit Week at HES. Here is our theme for each day: Monday - Merica Monday - wear your red, white, and blue to celebrate Merica! Tuesday - Black Out Tuesday - sport your favorite black tee or pants. Wednesday - Jersey Day - wear your favorite sports jersey or t-shirt to support your favorite team. Thursday - Throw Back Thursday - anything from the past would be Rad or Groovy! Friday (remote) - Black and Orange Day - Wear your best orange and black get up to show our Tiger Spirit!


Welcome back remote learners!! If you are a remote learner and would like to return before the quarter ends, please call the office to make arrangements. We can't wait for all of our students to come back!

Students & Parents...Important Message
Picture day for all in person students will be on Tuesday, Sept. 15th. We will take every precaution to keep our students safe. They will be socially distanced in line while waiting & will wear their masks right up until time to "Say cheese!"
Picture day for total remote students will be Friday, Sept. 25th from 8:00-12:00. Grade 2 will come 8:00-9:00, Grade 3 from 9:00-10:00, Grade 4 from 10:00-11:00, and Grade 5 from 11:00-12:00. On that day, we will have 2 cameras set up in the new gym at the north end of our building. All parents should go around & park in the back parking lot & use that entrance. Everyone will have to wear masks, sign in & have temperatures taken. Again, we will be practicing social distancing while waiting in line.
Payment options are to pay online by going to mylifetouch.com and use the picture day ID EVTQBSKVB or you can pay at the time the pictures are taken. Please call Ms. Noone at 942-2744 if you have any questions.


Parents please be advised that all HES students will be learning remotely on Friday's starting September 18th. Please call administration with any questions or concerns.

Beginning Wednesday, September 2, ALL Herrin Unit #4 students may receive a free breakfast and lunch daily. Remote learners may pick up at HHS along Polk Street at 10:30 am.
