At the April 24, 2025, meeting of the Herrin CUSD #4 Board of Education, the district welcomed two newly elected board members, celebrated the re-election of two current members, and recognized two departing members whose terms concluded.
Brad Blakey and Cindy Miller were officially sworn in as the newest members of the Herrin CUSD #4 Board of Education following favorable results during the April 1, 2025, local elections. Their addition is expected to bring fresh perspectives and a continued commitment to the district’s mission of educational excellence. Re-elected board members Steve Robinson and Jon “Hutch” Hutchison will continue their service, providing valuable experience and enduring leadership as the district moves forward.

The district also expressed its sincere gratitude to outgoing members Daniel Kay and Dave Loucks, who have served on the board since 2017 and 2013, respectively. Both were honored with commemorative plaques in recognition of their selfless, dedicated service to Herrin CUSD #4. Their contributions have made a lasting impact on the district and are deeply appreciated for their service.

During the meeting, the board unanimously voted to maintain the following leadership appointments: Kelly Green as President of the Board, Steve Robinson Vice President of the Board, and Susie Etherton as Secretary of the Board. Chairpersons for various subcommittees were also established.
Herrin CUSD #4 extends its heartfelt thanks to all board members - past and present - for their genuine commitment to our students, staff, and community. We look forward to the continued work of the Board of Education in supporting the district’s goals and values.
