The Full-Service Community Schools (FSCS) team recently reviewed their hygiene kit inventory and saw an opportunity to extend support beyond their students. After ensuring student needs were met, they donated 150 hygiene kits to local organizations that assist individuals in need.
Each of the following organizations received 50 kits:
Herrin House of Hope
Purpose House
DCFS Marion's Field Office
The hygiene kits include essential personal care items tailored to gender-specific needs, such as:
Personal Hygiene: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, deodorant, body powder
Oral Care: Toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss picks
Skincare & Grooming: Cleansing facial wipes, cotton balls and pads, loofah, comb, razor, shaving cream
Health & Wellness: Feminine products, Motrin, Q-tips, earplugs
Additional Comfort Items: Sleep mask, chapstick
This initiative reflects FSCS’s commitment to supporting the whole student, whole family, and whole community. By providing essential hygiene resources, FSCS continues to promote well-being, dignity, and care for those in need.
